I agree. I too, am running out of things to say that aren't already being said for clickbait. I do watch the news, if only to make sure that something new hasn't come over the horizon while I slept a couple of hours. In the rare occasions that I do leave the house, I deliberately walk around people at the stores I have to enter, as I only go when I absolutely have to have something I can't make myself. And yes, I wear a mask every time I go.
I find that most people are clueless on purpose. They like their little personal bubbles they live in as it makes them comfortable in order to get through their days. And that is the bottom line. Personal comfort. This is what everyone strives for in their own way. When they get really uncomfortable, they lash out in anger or fear, instead of trying to do something about it. They always want someone else to make their uncomfortable feeling go away so they can go back to living in that bubble again as if nothing is wrong in their world. Which is why Donald Trump is so popular still. He promised to make people comfortable with their daily lives.
I have to be very careful when I go out among them as I seem to have lost the ability to manage my inner dialog and I inadvertently say the quiet part out loud. Things like "block the whole fucking aisle why don't you" have a strange effect on the general population.
Yeah, I get a few strange looks also but then, I wear my retired Army ball cap or my disabled military hat and they move out of my way, those that bother to look at me anyway. That goes back to that whole living in a bubble thing. It helps that I am a bit broad in the shoulders and I have a mean icy look in my eyes most of the time. It's funny how one can intimidate some people with just a mean look.

Might as well be talking to the wall? 🎵🤷♀️
...as was said by the Rabbi who prayed for peace in the Mideast at the Wailing Wall every day. (Old joke.)
I remember an elderly man I knew many years ago who only seemed to talk to his cat.
I’m increasingly convinced he was onto something, you’d probably get more sense these days anyway 😺
